The creators had obtained unparalleled compression results and were convinced that their inventions were patentable; they knew it was time to convert their "research lab" into a real, structured company.

Two rounds of financing were carried out with private investors in May 2007 and June 2008 respectively. In 2007, the company changed its name to I-CES, Innovative Compression Engineering Solutions

I-CES is now a simplified joint stock company with a Management Committee and strategic operating entity supervised by Thierry Braconnier.

The Management Committee includes four members and two observers.
